Lotus HR & Recruitment was launched in 2018 by Mary de Wet, a well-experienced industry professional, whose recruitment career started in 2001, in Port Elizabeth, providing specialist and scarce skill candidates to the Automotive, Packaging, and Food and Beverage Manufacturing sectors.

In 2007, Mary was honoured by being awarded the APSO accredited “Consultant of the Year” award for the Eastern Cape and Border regions.

In 2008, Mary relocated to the Western Cape to open a new Technical and Industrial division for a multi-national recruitment company. During this period, she was tasked with several career mapping projects for clients entering the renewable energy sector, recruiting for two International companies awarded bids to build solar farms in the Northern Cape region. In addition, she was the sole supplier of staff for their newly established production facility.

In 2010, Mary worked independently, building a client base in the fields of packaging, construction, manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering until 2018. This was when she felt the need to build a business that is flexible in cost, provides personalized service, and where the needs of the client and the candidate are paramount.
